Import your Google My Business KPI to Google Sheets : How-to, metrics and more

Quick steps to create a Google My Business report with Google Sheets:

You can easiliy create a Google My Business report following this step :

  1. Get informations from the data integration from our Google My Business connector.
  2. Create a source on catchr.io.
  3. Download our Google Sheets extensions.
  4. Configure and run your request

How to install Google Sheets Catchr Add-on.

To start exporting your Google My Business data to Google Sheets, you need to install the Catchr add-on. You currently have two options :

Option A: Via the marketplace:

  1. Visit the Catchr Add-on page on the Google Workspace Marketplace and click "Install."
  2. Grant the necessary permissions for the add-on.
  3. Upon successful installation, open a Google Sheets to proceed.

Option B: Directly within a Google Sheets:

  1. Open a new Google Sheets.
  2. In the top menu, click "Extensions", then hover over "Add-ons" and select "Get add-ons."
  3. Search for "Catchr" and choose "Catchr - data connector."
  4. Click "Install" and grant the required permissions.
  5. Close the installation pop-up when completed.
  6. Start using the Catchr add-on.

Once you have installed the add-on, you can start making requests.

  2. Create a datasource and new report on Looker Studio.
  3. Choose your metrics and dimensions.
  4. Use charts with your metrics and dimensions.

  4. Copy the given URL in PowerBI

How to connect your Google My Business account to Google Sheets

Add a source on Catchr

To get started, navigate to the Catchr homepage. From there, find and click on Source located in the left menu. Next, click on Add a Source at the top right corner. Choose Google My Business from the list of available platforms and proceed through the identification process to establish a connection between Catchr and Google My Business.

Create a New Query

Open up Google Sheets and locate the Catchr option in the menu. Click on it, then select New Query to create a fresh query for transferring your Google My Business data over.

In the query tab, select Google My Business as your desired data source. If your account doesn't immediately appear in the source list, you can easily include it by clicking on the "+" button.

Move on to the Select account(s) tab and pick the specific Google My Business account(s) you wish to import data from.

Choose Metrics and Dimensions

Head over to the Metrics and Dimensions tabs to select the particular data points you wish to incorporate into your query. Here are a few examples of metrics and dimensions:

Metrics :

  • Account ID: Obtain the Ad Account Id.
  • Total views: The total number of times the resource was viewed.
  • Total Review Count: The total number of reviews for this location.

  • Location ID: Google identifier for this location.
  • Primary Category: Category that best describes the core business this location engages in.
  • Address Language Code: BCP-47 language code of the address contents (if known).

Set Date Range

After picking your metrics and dimensions, proceed to the Date Range tab. This allows you to choose from preset date ranges like "Last month" or "This year", or set custom start and end dates for your data import.

To narrow your data even further, employ filters in the Filters tab. To add a filter, complete the following fields:

  • Field: country
  • Operator: equals
  • Value: United States

Schedule & Customize Data Refreshness

Finally, head to the Options tab to set up automatic data refreshes for your query. Additional functionalities like "Appends rows" and "Combine rows" are available to further customize your data retrieval.
