Are you interested in using Catchr on PowerBI? Great!
PowerBI is one of the most complete dashboarding tools that currently exist. With its two solutions, the PowerBI desktop and the PowerBI Web App, everyone can access it.
Combined with Catchr, you can easily connect and transfer data into PowerBI, quickly create stunning reports and dashboards, aggregate every platform data in one place, and share your excellent dashboard with your team and client.
You can even save time using one of our pre-made and ready-to-use templates. They are all free to download and fully customizable to fit your needs!
To get started, you first need an account on Catchr! Follow this link to subscribe (we have a 14-day free trial period, no credit card required, no engagement).
Then, download PowerBI Desktop, install it, and create your Microsoft account to log in to PowerBI.
Once done, go back to Catchr. You need to add a Source on Catchr to link your platform account and generate the request URL for PowerBI:
On the Catchr homepage, go to Source, then Add a Source at the top right.
Select the platform you want and go through the identification step to connect Catchr and the selected platform.
Accounts you manage will appear after a short time of synchronization. Once they are here, it's time to create your request.
Now, go to API in the left menu.
Warning: If you use one of our templates, select all the required dimensions and metrics listed on the template's page on Catchr. If done correctly, the template will load automatically with all your data. You can then customize it to fit your specific needs.
Great, now double-click on the generated URL at the top of the page and copy it.
Keep it. It's the first thing PowerBI will ask when you open a template.
In PowerBI Desktop, you can import data from various data sources. Here, we will need a web data source to import data from a web page.
Go to :
PowerBI can take a few minutes to import your data. Once done, you can use PowerBI Query to edit the query and work your field type. Then, you can start creating your dashboard with your data and publish and share it with everyone you need.
If you need to use a data set in the PowerBI Web App, publish it to access it on your browser.
To find a data set on the PowerBI web app, import it from the PowerBI desktop and then use it on the web app. Follow the previous step to learn how to publish your web data source from PowerBI Desktop.
You can then go to New Report and Pick a published data set. You will find all your printed data sets and will be able to use them to create your new report.

Double-click on the template file (.pbi) you downloaded from one of our template pages, and it will open PowerBI.
The first thing asked is the Request URL. Paste it. Then click on Load.
Depending on the volume of data to load, this can take a few minutes.
Once finished, you can customize your new report to fit your needs and share it with your co-workers or clients.
